Anlagen von Uhrhan

Company

In 1963, the engineers Günter Uhrhan and Heinrich Schwill founded a company in Essen which was specialised in planning, developing and producing specialised welding systems: the future Uhrhan & Schwill GmbH.

Even at that time, goals were set we are still pursuing today:

  • continuous improvement of welding processes by optimising the welding systems
  • ensuring the highest standards in quality and safety
  • high flexibility when meeting individual customer requirements

While always aspiring to achieve these goals, the two-man team grew to become a global company in the area of developing, constructing and producing pipw welding systems.

When the Uhrhan & Schwill Schweißtechnik GmbH was taken over by Lincoln Electric in 1998, it was a merger of perfectly complementing product areas. The product range of Uhrhan & Schwill was extended because the delivery of high-class welding power sources and weld metals could be carried out in one company.

The latest wire / flux combinations and further development in power source technology are developed and tested in our plants in Cleveland, USA so that our welding systems can be operated with the perfectly complemented weld metals and power sources.

Today, Uhrhan & Schwill is setting new standards in the are of multiple arc welding technology and automation. Uhrhan & Schwill stands for new and further developments on the highest level in welding technology, control engineering and automatic control engineering. In our experimental laboratory, we are constantly carrying out tests under similar conditions and thus we a re optimising our systems and manufacturing technologies as well as the user-friendliness of our systems.

Thanks to continuous research, further development and modernisation, large diameter pipe mills worldwide trust in our technology and integrate our systems into their production processes very succesfully.

Our advance is our customers' advance.
