Quality assurance in the Digital Welding System Z5
With the Digital Welding System Z5, quality assurance of the tack weld can be carried out during tack welding.
In addition to recording of data in Data Recording, in the Digital Welding System Z5, quality assurance files in the real „xls“-Excel® format are automatically generated. For each tack welded seam, an Excel® workbook is generated containing all mechanical, electrical and welding setup parameters of the corresponding tack welding process.
Moreover, during tack welding, the following parameters are recorded in relation to the pipe position:
- welding currents
- welding voltages
- wire feeding speeds
- wire feeding motor torques
If there is any deviaton from tolerances, in the Digital Welding System Z5, the corresponding pipe position is registered. Thus, irregularities in the tack welding process can be easily assigned to the pipe position and repaired, if necessary.
